Yearly Road Fees

When someone purchases a property on Balsam Chutes Road they automatically become a member of the BCRA corporation, and thus need to pay a yearly fee.

Fees are due by March 31st of the current year and are based on a two tier system: 

​

Vacant Lots are lots with no temporary or permanent structures or services ie. hydro. They pay $450/yr/civic number +HST. 

​

Occupied Lots are lots with a temporary or permanent structure or any service ie. hydro. They pay $600/yr/civic number +HST. 

​

Members can pay their fees in cash (a receipt is provided), by cheque(s), or by e-transfer to roadfees@balsamchutes.com

​

*Interest of 1.25%/month will be added to any unpaid fees on the last day of each month.*

Special Assessment for New Builds

New Builds cause excessive wear and tear to the road from heavy vehicle traffic. The owner of a New Build will be assessed a Special Assessment as per Schedule F of the by-law.

 

Schedule F

New Builds 4.06-1: Owners of New Builds will be invoiced after construction begins for a one-time assessment based on the cost of purchasing and delivering twenty-two (22) tonnes of 7/8” granite granular “A” crusher run.
